Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal.

The construction began around 1632 and was completed around 1653, employing thousands of artisans and craftsmen. In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While the white domed marble mausoleum is the most familiar component of the Taj Mahal, it is actually an integrated complex of structures.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza Necropolis bordering what is now El Giza. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. The main part of the Giza complex is a setting of buildings that included two mortuary temples in honour of Khufu and three smaller pyramids for Khufu's wives.

The Hollywood Sign is a landmark and American cultural icon located in Los Angeles, California. It is situated on Mount Lee in the Hollywood Hills area of the Santa Monica Mountains. The sign overlooks the Hollywood district of Los Angeles.

"HOLLYWOOD" is spelled out in 14m white capital letters, and is 110m long. It was originally created in 1923 as an advertisement for a local real estate development, but it garnered increasing recognition after the sign was left up.

The Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile is one of the most famous monuments in Paris. It stands in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The Arc de Triomphe honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and the Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces.

The monument stands 50 metres in height, 45 m wide and 22 deep. The large vault is 29.19 m high and 14.62m wide. The small vault is 18.68m high and 8.44m wide. It was the largest triumphal arch in existence until the construction of the Arch of Triumph in Pyongyang, in 1982.

The house was designed by Irish-born James Hoban and built between 1792 and 1800 of white-painted Aquia Creek sandstone in the Neoclassical style. Today, the White House Complex includes the "Executive Residence", "West Wing", "East Wing", the "Eisenhower Executive" Office Building. It's also incudes the former "State Department", which now houses offices for the President's staff, the "Vice President" and "Blair House", a guest residence.
