In one of my previous post i wrote about impressive streets of the world. The truth is i "forget" one on purpose cause i wanted to make a seperate post for this not just beautiful but also historical street.

Route 66 is also knowen as Will Rogers Highway or Mother Road. This historical highway crosses 8 states and 3 time zones. Route 66 passes throught Chicago, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arisona before ending to California.

The Highway coverded 2448 miles and it was establised in 11 November 1926 by the Cyrus Avery who was the desiner. Route 66 officially removed from the United States Highway system on June 27 in 1985.

The shortest section of Route 66 is only 13 miles and it is located in Kansas. Today the 85% of the route is still drivable. You can find an original section of the Route 66 in Smithsonian's National Museum Of America History.

Find more pictures in my photo gallery, feel free to contact me for more details and if you are looking for the best way to take a drive at historical Route 66 just answer 5 simple questions in my secret section then fill in the form and go explore America's impressive street.
