Riga The Tales City

In today's post we will travel to Latvia , is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. Latvia's capital city is Riga. The City was officially founded in 1201 and is divided into six administrative districts: Centra, Kurzeme, Ziemeļu, Latgale, Vidzeme and Zemgale districts.

The Riga City history is more than eight hundred years long, and it has an abundance of dramatic events stored in countless volumes of works , monuments and legends.

By the end of World War I the possibility emerged to establish an independent Republic of Latvia, which through the complicated political situation, was proclaimed on 18 November 1918.

There is much to be told about Riga. Almost every citizen of Riga has his/her own story to be told. About it's towers and cellars, parks and waters, it's suburbs and courtyards. About architectural masterpieces and about everyday bustle in the Central Market.
