Today we will visit a city in the United Kingdom. A city founded in 71 B.C. by the Romans. York is a historic walled city at the confluence of the Rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire and is the traditional county town of Yorkshire to which it gives it's name.

The Yorkshire Museum with it's five grand galleries chart the story of the city in high-tech style but it's real treasures are the many prehistoric, Roman, Viking and medieval artifacts.

York’s encircling defensive walls are the longest and best preserved in England and provide an illuminating perspective on the city’s importance in and since Roman times.

During the year you can find many interesting festivals in York. The most well knowed is "Jorvik Viking Festival" and is taking places from 15 to 23 of February. Fancy dress aplenty and lots of superb highlights like Beowulf by Candlelight and a dazzling finale with live battles, light shows and plenty of Viking spirit is what you can see during those days.

Find more details and photos in my photo gallery , feel free to contact me for more information and if you are looking for the best way to go visit this old style city and it's festival just answer 5 simple question in my secret section fill the form and prepare your luggages.

P.S. Bring you best mood for the festival.
